Recently, QRoad was approached to perform ground radar measurements in South American Guyana. The request was to map layer thicknesses, damages and subsidence of a local road. The road is a major thoroughfare in Guyana and there was overdue maintenance. QRoad has access to a ground radar that can be easily transported on the plane as checked baggage. QRoad’s GPR and a local transportation device were used to measure the road. At the office in the Netherlands, the data was processed into a report with interesting findings that the client could proceed with. A great job in a faraway foreign country. ‘We work worldwide’ is therefore a slogan of QRoad.
